Most girls start wearing makeup around the age 11. Most start simple, like going for a mascara and lip balm.

But over a period of time, they start to experiment with more. It feels like an adventure but becomes an obsession! Because the urge to wear makeup is much more than that!

Girls start wearing more and more makeup because they feel insecure about their natural selves. This means that most of us tend to feel decent or pretty only with our makeup on.

By the way, makeup also means ‘made up’, ‘Not Real’, ‘Not Authentic!’ So, when we wear make up, we are trying to hide our real selves, our real natural beauty, and put forth something that is unreal, totally made up, fake!

So, if you too feel that you look ugly without makeup, let me tell you this: You are wrong!

Why? Because your natural self is amazing, as it is.

Don’t get me wrong! I am not saying that wearing makeup is wrong, but the idea of not liking yourself without makeup is wrong.

Most importantly, it doesn’t matter if you are pretty on the outside with/without makeup, if you happen to be ugly from the inside.

It’s like putting your natural self down. It’s like believing that our natural, God-gifted skin and features are imperfect and ugly, and have to be hidden under the synthetic colors of the makeup.

Nothing can be further than that! We are naturally beautiful, complete, even with all of our ‘so called’ imperfections and flaws!

So, let’s start appreciating our natural faces by taking more photos without makeup or filters, going to the gym without makeup.

So, let’s start a new day tomorrow by appreciating our natural self, just as we are! We are naturally beautiful. We are natural beauties!
